pathway签证是什么意思？
2015年6月我来到英国，在伦敦大学学院读硕士，我的学生签证是Tier4 General Student Visa 普通学生签证。 一般来英国的留学生都会有学生签证（Student visa）或学生通道(Student Route)。 申请时你拿到的签证类型会不一样，但都是有效期为一年的。
如果到了一年之后你还想继续呆在英国，那么就需要续签student visa. student route和general的最大的区别在于，前者没有资金证明的要求，所以相对简单容易一些。
如果你毕业后还想留在英国工作两年（PSW签证），那你就要拿到Post Study Work（PSW）签证了。 Post study work是一种特殊的学生签证，这种签证只提供给有Tier4 (General) Student Visa （一般的Tier4学生签证）的人，它只给那些毕业后的毕业生们使用。Psw签证是允许你在毕业后可以留英两年的。当然你要完成你所就读的学校所要求的课程。
PSW的申请需要满足很多条件。比如要你的学生签证是在9月27日之后申请的；而且必须在英国读书并完成了所有的学习以及考试等;还有必须要在英国完成全部的课程。不过目前这个签证已经取消了... 那现在怎么办？
如果你拿到了Pathway签证的话你就可以直接申请PSW签证啦！ Pathway is a new route for migrants to come and work or study in the UK， this includes people who want to stay on after their current Tier 4 visa expires， those starting a course of more than six months where a Tier 4 visa was not required initially， and international students who have previously completed an undergraduate degree at a British university but would like to do postgraduate studies here. 从上面可以看出，路径签证适用于所有想通过Tier4学生签证途径留在英国工作或者学习的非欧盟国家的公民。
这些人群包括：
·正在英国且之前签证过期的Tier 4学生；
·开始课程学习超过六个月的Tier4学生，虽然一开始不需要Tier4签证；
·之前在英国完成本科教育的国际学生想要在这里进行研究生的学习。 你可以通过三种方式获得pathway签证： ·作为已经持有有效的Tier 4 general student visa holder you may be able to apply online via GOV.UK using the post-study work option from within your online Immigration Status Check tool， which should take just a few minutes. You can then use this as your pathway visa application. This allows you up to five years’ leave to remain in the UK， with no restrictions on working during that time. If you are applying under this method please ensure you include all supporting evidence when submitting your application including copies of previous passport pages showing immigration status， biometrics， any other documents relating to your education or employment， and details of how long each qualification took． 这种方式就是在你现有的Tier4普通学生签证的基础上申请，这种方式会让你得到五年不限工作的长期居留许可。
